Hiya folks,
Nashville, here I come.
I'm leaving Germany on Monday morning and will start work on my
new album next Wednesday, Oct. 5. We have great players aboard,
we got good songs, and we got the Tone Chaperone George Bradfute
twiddlin' the knobs so I'm sure we'll have a fun time and make
a great record. Can't wait to get started.
While in Music City, I'll also play a whole bunch of shows. Once
again I'll be playing Western Beat at the Exit/In, I'll also be
performing at Betty Dylan's Go Plug Yourself at The Sutler and
the French Quarter Café Writer's Night. And I'm real stoked
about receiving an invitation to the world famous Bluebird Café.
I was a little late in trying to land a regular gig but I was
invited to be a featured artist at the Open Mic twice.
You'll find the exact dates here.
I played two very fun solo shows in September - thanks to everyone
who came out and made the shows so enjoyable. I also finished
up recording all my parts for the upcoming Los Solitary Men record.
That album is shaping up just fine. We got some good stuff coming
your way pretty soon.
In case anybody needs any music recommendations, here ya go: Check
out the fabulous James McMurtry's new album "Childish Things".
And I can't wait to get my hands on Charlie Sexton's new record
"Cruel & Gentle Things" as well as Mack Starks's
new disc "Blind Spot".
So stay tuned, folks. I'm sure I'll come back from Nashville with
good news and good results!
