Hiya folks,

hope you’re all doing well and getting ready for the holiday season.

I know I’m a little late with the news this month but then again, I got good news.
Europe’s premier roots music label Blue Rose is going to release the new album “The Price Of Sin” next year. There’s no release date set just yet but I hope you and I will not have to wait too long.
We do not have an American label yet but we’re working on it, folks.

For those of you who missed last month’s news, here’s a short recap:
I was in Nashville in October to record a great follow-up to “Hobo Dream”. The record will be called “The Price Of Sin” and contains twelve nice, warm, deep and beautiful songs (if I do say so myself). The album was recorded with the help of such luminaries as Fats Kaplin, Dave Jacques, Bryan Owings, and Dave Coleman who have toured and recorded with the likes of Tom Russell, John Prine, Buddy Miller, Tim O’Brien, Todd Snider, and countless others. The sessions were produced by the great George Bradfute and myself.
I’m real proud of that album.

We’ve started mixing the Los Solitary Men record and hope to release it early next year. This is a fun record you’ll enjoy tapping your toes to, I promise.

There’s a fun gig just around the corner on Saturday, December 10, at Bamberg’s Blues Bar. Come on out.
More gigs are being booked right now. I’m especially very much looking forward to playing Austin, Texas during SXSW this March. Hopefully I can book a few more Texas dates for March/early April.

Stock up on your Christmas presents here, enjoy the holidays, and slide on over safe & sound into the new year.

And don’t forget to keep rockin’,
Markus
