Howdy folks,
it's that time of year again - already. When you're gearing up for the holidays, stay away from gruesome over-the-hill-rock-star-sings-Christmas-songs-CDs, willya? Instead, do you and your loved ones a favor and get them AJ Roach's terrific "Revelation" album or Jerry Lee Lewis' "Last Man Standing" - or introduce them to "The Price Of Sin".
Or check out
Marybeth D'Amico's well-received 5-song EP "Waiting To Fly" produced by yours truly.
November brought us some very nice gigs. I enjoyed hanging and playing with my buddy Robert Oberbeck in Marburg and had a great time playing with Tim Easton at the Lab in Stuttgart. Damn, he put on a terrific show.
I'll be doing my Christmas shopping on weekdays this year cuz I'll be busy on the weekends.
This Saturday, Dec. 9, I'm taking a trip up north to play a solo show at the
Kleine Osteria in Rastede.
The week after I won't be so lonely on stage. Hank Shizzoe, Ad Vanderveen, Elliott Murphy, Iain Matthews, myself, and a bunch more special guests will all convene on Friday, Dec. 15, at the Bürgerhaus Böckingen to have a fine Blue Rose rock'n'roll Christmas party. I bet this'll be lots of fun. Get your tickets early if you don't want to miss this (www.bluerose-records.com).
And on Thursday, Dec. 21, I'll be back in the town I was born, Frankfurt/M., to play the lovely
Dreikoenigskeller accompanied by my good friends Andi Obieglo on piano and
Robert Oberbeck on percussion and guitar. Come on out and fill up the Keller.
I've been busy lately putting together my first tour of England for January. I'm very much looking forward to playing some shows with great L.A. songwriter Anny Celsi and the Gunslingers rhythm section. Check out the
dates and tell your UK friends to come out and not miss the "Black Dress & Boots" tour.
By the way, there's new reviews and an interview with an Italian music mag to be found
here within the next few days.
So much for now. Happy holidays y'all and I wish you all a fun New Year's Eve.
See you around,
Markus
